Airheart is Dan Garner, Paula O’Neal, and Amelia Blake, three seasoned musicians who stumbled upon their mutual love of tight harmonies while playing a benefit in 2011 for a dog park in Shreveport, LA.
Their sound is Folk/Americana/Skiffle and they’ve been compared to The Mamas & The Papas, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and The Civil Wars.
Airheart has been featured at restaurants, house concerts, clubs. and festivals throughout the Ark-La-Tex area, performing a mix of original tunes and familiar, favorite cover tunes arranged to accommodate their three part harmony. They’ve played in South Louisiana, on South Congress in Austin, Texas, and as far east as Miami, Florida. Having played with the Louisiana Hayride Band at both the historic Shreveport Municipal Auditorium and the Strand Theater, Airheart is now an honorary member of the Louisiana Hayride. Their knowledge and appreciation of the history of Louisiana music led them to be chosen to represent Louisiana music in 2013 with a performance at Travel South in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Airheart has been together three years and has released two CDs. They are currently at work contributing original songs to a movie soundtrack, with a tentative release date of late 2014.
