Matthew Davidson is an award-winning guitarist and vocalist from Shreveport, LA. With musical influences as diverse as The Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Maroon 5 and John Mayer, Davidson is a triple-threat: guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, known for performing rock, blues and pop/rock with equal command. His 2012 debut EP “Step Up” (produced by legendary bassist Joe Osborn) was followed by the 2014 recent release of “Cross My Heart” (available on iTunes).
Past awards/honors include: Featured in Sept. 2013 issue of “At: Guitar Center” magazine, Robert Johnson Blues Foundation New Generation Award, Kidd Kraddick Rock Camp Guitarist, Top 10 in Guitar contest sponsored by Capitol Records and The Beach Boys, and nominee for New Orleans’ OffBeat Magazine’s 2012 Best Emerging Artist. Matthew has been featured on “Guitar International” website and “International Musician” magazine.
Notable performances include: New Orleans Jazz Fest, Dallas House of Blues, B.B. King Blues Club in Memphis, Hard Rock Café Dallas, King Biscuit Blues Festival, Dallas International Guitar Festival, and Ellis Marsalis Center for Music in New Orleans.
